Is my hamster pregnant?

• I got a female hamster from the pet store today, she is more of a skittish hamster. My sister currently has a hamster and it is male. I compare sizes of the stomach and she is twice his size. They have been in separate cages, and have not been together once. But I have looked up the signs of pregnancy, i feel i have bought a pregnant hamster. She does not like being held, but she does not bite. She does not like being held in the stomach area, i have to hold her in my arms so she can walk. All signs lead to pregnancy! Help this is my first hamster!

  She is most likely not pregnant. She might be in heat though (a 3-4 day period where they are fertile), when in heat hamsters get annoyed easily, startled easily, and is less nice. If she were pregnant, she would have a huge nest in her cage, extremely protective, eats more and hordes food, will have a bigger stomach, and will have swollen nipples... And the chances of her getting pregnant before you bought her are very low considering they only put hamsters that are related together, and they separate the females from the males before they become fertile.
