What should I say when I call this potential employer?

I was in class and got a call from what I'm pretty sure was an employer (Id applied for a job) I want to call back but what do I say

  • what if I call and say "hi you called me and I wasn't able to answer because I was at school" is it rude to just be like "I was wondering what you wanted" because I can't think of a better way to just be like "why did you call me"

  • Answer:

    Just say i'm very sorry i missed your call,i am a student and i was in class when you called please forgive me.Did you call about an application i put in for a job? I hope that works for you good luck. Students will be forgiven they love when you are in school.

When they answer simply say I am ------and I am returning a missed call. They will either know who tried to call you or will ask if they said a name. Hopefully you listened when they answered the phone and you recognize it as a possible job. Sometimes telemarketers do that too.
