What do you know about Zamzam water?

Does anyone know what type of water line I have?

  • It is the main water line that leads from the street to the house. Its skinny and gray It also looks and feels just like a water hose. Does anyone know what this type of water line is called? Everyone keeps telling me it must be PVC but Its to skinny and flexible to be that.

  • Answer:

I suspect it is polyethylene because that is more durable than PVC or ABS and is commonly used for pressure service. Polyethylene is usually connected by mechanical crimp fittings because it can not be solvent welded.

Could be a hose, I thought they were only a temporary fixture though, like if facilities were working on the water main. PVC is a heavier plastic what you describe is either rubber or rubber impregnated fabric.

Your describing polybutylene , it is grey in color, most polyethylene piping for water service is black or blue,
