Changing your name on your passport before you get married?

PASSPORT~ Misplaced and need a name change~

• I have misplaced my passport~Not stolen~ Also recently married so my name will need to be changed. ~Have you been through this before, if so1. how did you go about it/do? 2. will i need to file out both lost or stolen forms as well as name change forms?~If i am able to find my passport with my old last name on it,1. that i got in 2010 and it expires in 2020. If i send it in, 2.will i get it back? or 3.will they just add my new name to the back? 4.or will they just give me a hole new one? I don't feel quite safe mailing the old one even if i did find it, nor would i really want to part with it, due to it being the only thing with my madden name on it and all the stamps of the places iv gone in it. T.T Thanks for any help you can give. (iv found plenty of info on renewing passports and getting the old one back, but i don't think mine is old enough to due so and the name changing is a different case.
