How do I get a job in the field I am studying for?

What kind of job can I get for what I'm studying for?

  • I'm about to transfer over to a university as a undergrad in Miami and I'm in need of a job. I was wondering if it is most likely that I can get a job that I am studying for like I'm going to transfer to finish my degree in biological science to become a neurologist. Is it possible that I can get a job in the hospital that is in the neurology field while I'm still a undergrad in school.

  • Answer:

No. You cannot get an actual job in that field until you have your degree. However, you can look into being a temp or possibly a different job in a hospital that doesn't require a degree for the time being. Perhaps you can work at the desk or be a room keeper for a while. You can learn a lot about how hospitals and such work in those kinds of positions. And when you finally do graduate, people will respect you more from starting at "the bottom" and you will be more likely to get hired as a neurologist. :)

Other answers

You can get a job at a hospital but not actually doing what your studying for. Maybe an orderly? just getting experience in a hospital or office could give you valuable experience. Become a EMT you may have enough education for that.
