Why is my laptop so hot?

Why my laptop become hot

  • All air vents are open and clean very very well. No background program running . But laptop battery is dead so i need to put charger on all time . Is that issue for heating.also HDD is 80% full and laptop was made by DELL .It become hot as much that i can`t work with it on my lap

    Usually, laptops will get hot. But as you stated, it gets so hot that you cannot sit it in your lap. Considering that it's NORMAL for laptops to get warm, and yours is getting that hot, you could have a battery or vent, etc going bad. I would suggest taking it to a computer shop, even Best Buy as soon as possible to reassure what it is. Hope this helps. Have a good one.

Does it get that hot when you work with it on a hard surface. Vents can be clean but if airflow is blocked by resting on your clothes, bed, etc it will get warm.
