Do you know how to melt metal?

I just wanted to know if it is safe to melt metal in an oven if it's supervised?

you might be able to do it but i don't think it would be very safe to try or good for your oven

Yea I would suggest against it because you will have to buy a new oven also depending on the metal it may be impossible lol you might need a welding torch to melt it which is sadly not cheap

you cant do it but i may be wrong have fun with that but you would need a welding torch or higher to be able to make it melt

As most here have suggested, it's not a great idea. Beyond that it is not likely to be all that effective anyway: Lets say you have a decent oven that can get up to 450F. The only metal with a melting point within your oven range would be Tin (449F)- so you might be able to melt some soda cans in a stone or ceramic crucible, but you should also know that the temp range on your oven is probably not calibrated to within more than a few degrees, so even at a setting of 450F, you might be at say 445- which would still be too low to melt Tin..
