How do you play the game ships and sailors?

What is this game? Help me find it please!

• back when i was a kid in 2007 2008 i used to play a game on pc. It was a shootemup kinda game with a starship/spaceship that would freely move on the screen at my will but it was always moving forward. I have been looking deeply over the internet for even just the name or picture of this game to identify it and get it so i can enjoy it again but i have had no luck. The game was similar to a space invader type where your little ship shoots down all these other ships. Thing is in my search on the internet i only got results with old school space starship shootemups...But this game was not that old, the graphics were ok (im guessing it had to have been made early or mid 2000's) and it was aesthetically pleasing as i remember i could pick up powerups that changed the shape speed and nature of my continuous bullet fire.if it helps il tell you that there is a game called "Demonstar" that plays very similar to this game just that Demon star is old otherwise its pretty much almost the sameIf this rings any bells please say so. Remember its not a classic game please and thanks!

  So it's a vertically scrolling shoot-em-up? That's a huge category, I have seen too many of those games to even remember them all. Raiden fighters was one popular series. Xevious was one of the first, but it's decades too early. I don't know how to help you. Someone else might know, but they're going to need more to go on, such as music, artwork, memorable power-ups, or the plot line from the game. For example, the most interesting powerup in Raiden was a purple laser that could curve to hit its target once locked on.. and hit multiple targets.
