How to create a time lag between a live camera and a monitor? I need the monitor to show the video feed a fraction of a second behind feed

  • I'm an artist and need to figure out a way to do this for a project, nothing sensitizer I promise. I just need to create a fraction of a second, yet noticeable, time lag between the video feed and what's shown on the monitor. have access to a lot of equipment as that I teach digital art, but this is beyond my skills

    hmm... could you not just use a really long cable. i play games and sometimes when i need to use a usb extender for my keyboard there's input lag. or send it to one machine to process then to the main system to display and maybe the processing times will be enough. or search the internet for software to do this for you

I have a 15 foot hdmi cable that connects my camera on a 12 foot jib, there is like a quarter second delay on the feed, so just get a 15 foot hdmi cable, they are cheap.
