How To Stop Dog's Itching?

How can I get my dog to stop itching?

• I have an American Bulldog and he itches himself CONSTANTLY. He will scratch himself until he is bleeding, then will scratch more. we've tried plenty of sprays and shampoos, we've even transitioned into making him a healthy doggy-stir fry for each meal, but he still itches. The workers at the shelter we got him from said he itched due to allergies so we gave him allergy pills, yet he still itches. We put lotion on him all the time; it doesn't work. Is there anything I haven't considered or need to try in order to get him to stop itching?

  He could be itching due to stress-related stuff. Ask your vet about that possibility, and what you could do for his nerves if that is a possible cause. It could be a habit born of boredom. Maybe give him something to do, like catch or running around with him a lot more often. Take him to a park so he can use grass to scratch instead of his sharp claws all the time.
