Are there any qualifications you need in order to take the Excpt exam in order to become a certified pharmacy tech?

Answer:
No, just take the exam. I would suggest taking it as soon as you finish school. They have a practice test, and a study guide on the PTCB website. Know your math, formulas, top 100 brand/ generics and law. Study... When I took it I studied constantly for weeks. Out of four of us who took it I was the only one who passed. I would say in my opinion that its worth it. Some hospitals won't hire without certification. I have found more job opportunities because I'm certified. The biggest issue is having to do continuing education every 2 years. Even with that its still worth it. Good luck. http://www.ptcb.org/
