How to replace the back up sensor?

mechanic had to replace camshaft sensor and O2 sensor, when I got the car back it is not as smooth driving and shifting, anyone know why?

  • I bought a 1999 Lexus Es300. this has been a hell of a week. Everytime my mechanics, who work at the place I bought the car give me my car back, it drives fine until I get on the freeway and then all hell breaks loose... Finally the 4th time they gave me the car back it really seemed fine, felt like the car was driving a bit different but it worked.. Next day it was very noticeable, when my car automatically shifts it just is not as smooth as it used to be, i can feel like a stalling feel, like its about to just shut off, it doesnt, but its still enough of a feel to make my heart jump. (I currently live in my car, and make my living with it... right now it IS my life) the car is also not as smooth on the freeway, it used to drive so smooth, but now I feel every bump, and every uneven part in the road, it feels like my car is being pulled in different directions. thank you in advance for any advice... I know that by now i should have taken it elsewhere but I cannot afford to, and they are still responsible especially since it just started doing all this after they fixed something else.

    Mass air flow sensor is going out or O2 sensor that he replaced is defective . take it to a Lexus dealer! will cost more at first , but less in the long run.

It sounds like you need an alignment and possibly new tires. As for the other problems if they have to do it for free because they messed it up take it back to them to do it. They really don't sound like trustworthy guys. They could have got coolant or silicone on the new 02 sensor.
