How to remove a question in the ask question editor?

Why did ask remove my question?

  • I am curious to why ask removed my question. My question was"What did the ancient Egyptians like to eat"I looked over the community guidelines and I didn't seem to find any reason to why my question could have been removed. I am really puzzled. Does any one (such as an ask moderator) know why my question could have been removed?

    This happens to me a lot too, simple, following the rules questions get removed. Moderator told me it's just down for review if it passes they'll have it back up. But mine always says the same thing, it was removed. I'm sure mods are looking into it and will have it back up.

You didn't just ask what they liked to eat though, you asked a whole list of homework questions all in the same "question." As such, there are a couple different things that were at issue - 1) Generally, unless they are very closely related, one should only ask 1 question per "question." 2) While Ask is a place to get assistance with one's homework, it is not the place to get others to do your homework for you. So, asking for resources on where to find the answers is fine, but wanting other members of the site to answer all your report questions for you, is not.

To answer your Egyptian question, they ate a lot of fruit and some vegetables that the grew, they also grew grains to make bread.

Here's my take, though I am not a mod. You asked what ancient Egyptians LIKED to eat. There is no possible way anyone could know the food likes of an ancient culture. If you had just asked, what DID they eat, people could tell you what facts are known about the foods that were available in ancient Egypt. I bet that if you had worded it that way, it would not have been removed.
