how to unlock virgin mobile phone using a code?

I have a virgin mobile samsung Galaxy S5. I called virgin mobile to unlock the phone and they gave me an unlock code. but unfortunately the representative didnt know how to unlock the phone. Now i have the code but i dont know how to unlock the phone. I need help please. Thanks.
