How much do Intellectual Property lawyers make?

Is it possible to purchase a house in Manitoba under a company name to make it difficult for lawyers to find out who owns said property?

  • a step by step or direct plan of action would be awesome. you who answers this I would bet knows more about law and her loopholes than the average real estate lawyer.

  • Answer:

It would be illegal so it would get someone put in jail & the property would get seized. I'm only guessing here but trying to hide it from the X would be a bad idea

Yes ... companies can own houses. But that doesn't make it too difficult for lawyers (or anyone else) to find who owns the property. Companies have to list their shareholders/owners/etc. So if you own the company as sole proprietor, it makes it easy to know that - if the company owns the house, you do.

Again, Walt is right. A company can own property, but corporations, LLC's, and partnerships are registered so it would probably be possible to find out the "person behind" the company.
