What are the lowest and highest notes a cello can play?

I'm learning to play the tenor clef on my cello. I can read the notes but can't figure out where they are on the cello. please help!

  • I am teaching myself because the nearest cello teacher is two hours away. I can also read the bass clef and treble clef just fine. I play piano too if that helps any!

  • Answer:

look online for "cello fingering". You'll find jillions of sites, charts, diagrams, etc. Well, maybe not jillions, but enough to keep you busy for the rest of the summer.

Do you have a local music store that sells cellos? If so, someone there may know. Or your local school band instructor may know.
