How can I reword this sentence?

How do I reword my sentence (grammar help)?

  • I have to write a graduation speech, and I'm thanking my Dad. I've tried to reword the sentence, but it looks awkward? "I’d specifically like to thank my Dad for filling both of the parental positions in my brother and my life, we wouldn’t be anywhere without all the sacrifices you’ve made for us."I'm confused on "my brother and my life" I feel there should be a 's in there? Thank you in advance!!

  • Answer:

my brother'S and my life semi-colon between life and we no capital on dad More than you asked, I know. You're welcome.
