How can I use mongo-sync?

How many times do I use fertilizer on my garden? When do I use it? And can I use it with plant food?

• I started a small garden in my back yard not too long ago. I was told I have to buy fertilizer for my plants. I sprinkled it on the soil already, but I am not sure when to re apply. The bag's directions did not specify. I was also told I have to use plant food, but not sure if I have to use it together or if I should use it separately. The directions on the plant food said to use it on the roots every 1-2 weeks. I wonder if fertilizer will be the same? But I looked at it the fertilizer seems to be there and if I sprinkle ever week it will look all white instead of like soil. I read online that over feeding it can result in big plants but little crop.
