Is this is a brand new laptop running windows 7? The processor upgrade will be dependant on what is compatible with the motherboard. You will only be able to use an AMD processor but you need to speak to HP to find out which CPU's you could upgrade to. To be fair though the pout of the box processor should be fine for most things. What is happening or not happening to make you consider this upgrade already?
