I have checked my websites today, and found some concepts like HEPA filter, ionizer , anyone could give me some detailed guides to choose an air purifier? Thanks

It is very hard to say which is the best air purifier, as there are so many different air purifiers on the market. But, as you mentioned, HEPA air purifiers, namely an air purifier with a HEPA filter inside, have best air cleaning effect. HEPA filter is a strict standard for filters used in the air purifiers, they use special material to achieve a great purifying effect. This standard is established by the Energy department of United States. According to the descriptions from WIkipedia, High-efficiency particulate absorption or HEPA is a type of air filter. Filters meeting the HEPA standard have many applications, including use in medical facilities, automobiles, aircraft and homes. The filter must satisfy certain standards of efficiency such as those set by the United States Department of Energy (DOE). To qualify as HEPA by US government standards, an air filter must remove (from the air that passes through) 99.97% of particles that have a size of 0.3 µm or larger.[3] A filter that is qualified as HEPA is also subject to interior classifications. As to choosing an air purifier, I advise you choose an HEPA air purifier if you do not care about the higher price compared with the normal kinds. Some great HEPA air purifiers, such as Honeywell 50250, Winix wac9500, Whirlpool ap51030k, the prices vary based on different working size and features. Source:

To begin, the best air purifiers are not going to be cheap. The ones you see at Target or Costco are pure junk. I know from experience. The purifiers that do the very best job at removing allergens (dust, dander, pollen, etc) are going to be ones with HEPA filters. Only a HEPA filter can eliminate fine particles from the air. As the other answer pointed out, HEPA removes 99.97% of particles down to .3 micron. Personally, I use an Austin air cleaner. It's been a good little unit, though not perfect. While it cleans the air and helps me get better sleep, I can't say it's the best model. I have heard that the IQ purifier is considered the best, though have never used it before. Either way, I would pick up the phone and speak with someone who knows about air purifiers. Best of luck to you! * I purchased my austin air cleaner from Clean Air Plus.
