How can I ask my mom if I can have a boyfriend?

i am 15 and i want to go on a trip with my boyfriend's family to Florida and i want to ask my mom if i can go. But...

  • there are some things that make asking her very difficult. And no its not that there is a problematic age difference. But we met online, we live in different states i am in Tennessee and he's in Ohio. The next thing is my mom found out that i had done some sexual thing online in the past and that was a big no no for her, she also found out that i had started to do these things with him. After that she told me to forget about him and she never wants to hear his name again. Now i dont really think She understood how i could fall in love like that. But anyways the trip is already paid for each of his family members and a plus one for each also. And he also insists on paying for thing while on the trip, but i still think that i should have some pocket money. And an amount of maybe $200 or $300 sounds fair, isnt a big problem for my mom to give, so overall money is not a problem. The trip will be a week long, one saturday to the following saturday, and it lines up with being the first week of summer vacation. I was worried about the things id be doing this summer like summer school and driving school, but nothing is in the way till a week or so after. So timing is perfect, and not a problem. Now for traveling, which is also not a problem, his group of about nine people will be driving down to florida in a 12 person van. His mom told us that they'd be driving through tennesee and they could easily take a detour to pick me up, if i decide to go. Okay one of the last things that might make my mom iffy on deciding are the rooming plans. Its not a hotel picked out, but instead a condo with multiple rooms,but of course i might tell a tiny lie and say i wont sleep in the same bed with him, but actually will because i really want to. I think the the first step is getting maybe his mom to tell my mom about him and things like that and than she could bring up the trip and give details, or something like that. So i guess what i want to ask is how should i ask? And before or after a

No wonder you are afraid to ask her because she is most likely smart enough, and loves you enough, to say absolutely not. Have you even met him in person? Just how old is he? If you two have sex then, if he is older than 18, he can go to prison (and should).

You shouldn't go. You cannot trust people who you meet on the net. The majority are good people but there are nuts out there who use it to hurt people especially young teens who really don't know better. I would be concerned about a MOTHER willing to pick up an underaged girl in another state without getting direct permission from the girl's mother. Dangerous situation.

I agree with your mother. You don't know this person at all and how his parents could be accepting of picking up a complete stranger to take on a trip is beyond me. Why should your mother trust any of them? She doesn't even know them and neither do you.

Sorry....if I was mom I'd say no way. I know that's difficult to hear, and especially annoying when someone says "It's for your own good, and some day you will understand," but that's the truth. We see a lot of potential for things to go wrong here. Hang in there a few more years.
