Why should we pay for the protection of Iraq citizens when we are losing our jobs and homes? They seem to always be fighting among themselves and we are just one big police force for them. Does anybody have a good reason to do this?

You know what's interesting about that? There is this guy who is from Iraq who says that before the Iraq War, people of different religions could live in the same home peacefully. Now, because of the Iraq War, according to him, there is fighting. I do believe him more than what Americans who are for the Iraq War have to say. What is America trying to protect Iraq from anyway? Seriously. Saddam Hussein told the truth when he said there were no weapons of mass destruction. I do believe that America is the one to blame in this. No offense to anyone. As for the Americans who realize this and the Americans who are not for the Iraq War at all, I give you respect. =)

if bush and company hadn't lied to us and the world we wouldn't have to worry about it because we wouldn't have went over there in the first place. but since we did destroy a lot of their infrastructure it's our responsibility to rebuild it. it's like breaking something in a store. no, you don't get the product, but you have to pay for it because you broke it. thank georgie boy and his buddies. mccain wants to continue his failed policies as well. will we ever learn?

I agree with everything you said, and there isnt a good reason for any of it, my opinion we have shouldnt be in Iraq at all.

I believe that war has historically been good for the USA economy, not morally good, but economically good. If there is a recession at home and people are losing their jobs, then the people coming home from war could end up unemployed too.

that's a good question, I feel that we shouldn't in all honesty. Our government has an unbelievably large amount of debt, and alot of our taxes are going to pay the war, and just the interest on that debt. Until we can take care of our own money problems at home, I think we should stop trying to be the hero all the time, or else alot of our assets will end up in other country's hands, i.e. China.
