What is Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology?

In Cell and Molecular Biology, what are odal cells or odal flagella?

  • Answer:

As far as the previous answer, that article first off does no one any good if they don't know how to read it. Its a scientific experiment and doesn't so much help as confuse. Second it isn't dealing with odal cells but oda1 cells. As well as oda2, oda3, oda4, etc (I don't know how many exactly but you get the idea). Here the oda 1 (2,3,4...) is a cell that was altered (mutated) in order to experiment upon. Basically what the experiment is about is whether one of the flagella can be reconstituted or not, and under what factors. Its very complicated and unless you understand most of it, there's no point in reading it. Other than that, I've never heard of an odal cell or odal flagella. I think you are referring to the experimental mutant cell without an outer arm from the article.
