In the case of the financial debacle and "bailout", isn't it remarkable how much money can be mobolized very quickly to rush to the aid of the big boys--at the expense of the tax payer?

Answer:
indeed it is! funny how that money wasn't so available for those in New Orleans during the flood and such other catastrophes huh? We can bail out big business but not people without homes. We can't seem to get money to help out small businesses going under in this tough time but we can cut all kinds of deals for the big boys and they were the ones cooking the books and getting tax cuts and such before. Of course we know why this is, no need for me to go on and on about the patting of backs, greasing of palms and pockets that get lined with cash, bribes, payoffs, lobbyists and leeches that exist in the matrimonial bed of big business and politics.

This is why we have a depression! We have privitized profits for the select few, and socialized losses spread out over the public at large that never had a chance at any of the profits! Until we see the old risk to rewards ratio reinstituted it will continue!

It's interesting, too, how they kept warning us for years and years that Social Security --something we've already paid for and the politicians stole from-- is going down the tubes. Washington, D.C. is loaded with SCUM! "Change" my ass!

The bailouts are a huge mess and not easily dismissed. Personally, I think that the Big 3 should be left to file for bankruptcy and allowed to reorganize. One the biggest problems is the union contracts are killing them (not just the high end salaries of the executives). The unions are demanding more money and then scratch their heads when jobs are sent overseas. Instead their answers are give them "free money" and then tax the profits. WTF?? Big companies employ more people. You cut into their profits, they cut jobs and it's the little man that looses. Tax cuts are what jump starts the economy, not tax hikes. No civilization has ever been taxed into prosperity. What they should have done is allow everyone to write off the purchase of a new car on their taxes. The consumer wins, the Big 3 wins. Only the federal Government looses cause they don't get to tax anything.

The taxpayer will always be screwed by this corrupt government.

First of all, it's not "money", it's merely paper, growing more and more worthless by the minute...and its continued use for illicit purposes is soon gonna come back t'bite us in the ass BIGTIME! Nobody's fault but our own. We keep puttin' the same bloodsuckin' con artists back in office over and over and over and over...........!
