Why can't I change my yahoo mss avatar?

Why cant I change my display image on my YIM? I've tried every way possible...even went to Yahoo help...it wont change. I can change it to no image or my avatar but not an image that I uploaded from my pc...

Go to folder C:Program FilesYahoo!MessengerProfiles[your Yahoo ID]My Icons It's a list of display images saved by YM. Remember the filename of your desired image. Open your registry (click Start, Run.., type REGEDIT). Trace the path HKEY/CURRENT_USER/Software/Yahoo/pager/profiles/[your Yahoo ID]/FriendIcons The value of Path should reflect the filename of the current display image in your YM. Change it to reflect the filename of your desired image. Close the registry. Restart YM.

when u change it if ur computer is slow restard Yahoo messenger it will do it
