How many homeless shelter is there in Canada?

Food and shelter in Canada are very expensive and of poor quality. Does anyone have a clue of why in this large prosperous country life is so hard for so many?

  • Answer:

There is a lot of price fixing going on amongst grocery stores. Lobbyists for food retailers are pretty powerful, and investigation is non-existent. Also, Canada has a very high tax rate - double taxing- income and sales taxes its citizens to death, for what can be best described as a bloated government needing 5 idiots to do the work of one. My monthly grocery bills in the US for a family of four was under $300 a month. Here, in Sudbury, ON, we buy the same stuff for over $600 a month and the quality is poor. I have lived in all continents and both developed and developing countries- Canada offers the least value for money- even compared to several developing countries. We have a lot of work to do to prevent grinding our citizens down by taxing us all to death.

My guess, simplistic as it is? = Like most everywhere else, the inequality of the distribution of wealth. Economically disadvantaged folks have been getting screwed over since time immemorial. The world has enough resources for all; greed prevents that being actualized. ;-)
