Are DVD players that play DivX also AVI players?

Are there any Blu-Ray DVD players that play both avi/divx files AND mp4 files? Would also like with a USB port.

  • So far I've seen regular DVD player that play divx, and new Blu-Ray players that play mp4, but haven't seen one that plays both.

    A proper blu-ray drive in your computer will handle anything. Having a dedicated player seems like old-tech to me. Build a nice computer and play anything however you want.

OPPO are the only ones I know of that can play those formats and more. Go over to there site and check the specs.

Not DvD but I know a few Streaming media players that do visit amazon.com and have a look at The Boxee Box and WD TV You can also have a look at Roku which is another one and hook up playon.tv on your NAS or computer and then install there app on the box and I've tossed every kind of file imaginable at and it has played every one right from the computer no burning involved
