Awww Geez! Jean Stapleton just died a few days ago. What did you like about her and the characters she played, especially Edith Bunker?

Answer:
This may sound funny, but I actually learned a great way of cracking a raw egg from her Edith Bunker character. In one episode, she's cooking Archie some scrambled eggs, and she cracks the eggs by whacking them with the edge of a fork. I used to crack eggs on the side of the bowl, but cracking them with a fork is better, as I learned from Jean Stapleton! :D

Along with Atticus Finch, Edith Bunker is my favorite fictional character. Great writing, no doubt, but Stapleton gave Edith real life and an admirably complete humanity. :)
