Is Charter a good cable company?

Comcast exiting Indiana cable market, Charter Communications to form new company with 4 million customers, is this happening elsewhere?

I don't believe so. I know that Comcast is trying to merge with Time Warner and a lot of people are not too happy about it. Historically mergers, so common before the Obama administration, hike prices and narrow even further consumer choice. I remember when cable was deregulated years ago. One party claimed that it would result in lower prices. That has never happened. And for years they discussed being able to order what you really wanted to watch versus what is in a package - but that is all talk, too, and I am not aware that it has really ever happened.

That's not happening here. Comcast has a monopoly on the cable in my area. Comcast is actually the most subscribed to organization in the world. I'm surprised that they're giving up a market.
