They have only produced 4 albums and have accolades a mile long. 4. "The Suburbs" is their third album. It won a Grammy Award in 2011 for Album of the year. 5. This album was inspired by the band members & brothers, Win and William Butler's upbringing in the Woodlands, Texas-8--one of Houston's richest suburbs, I might add. I love shopping there! "Abraham's Daughter" was on soundtrack of movie "Hunger Games". 7. Back to your question "How are your suburbs? Unbelievable! Where I live now, every single yard is manicured. There are flowers everywhere at the entrance of neighborhoods. The street where I drive everyday to go pick up my friends' son from school looks like those photos of Louisina's plantations scenes. There are trees that arch from one side of the road across overhead to the other side of the streets. I pass a golf course on that same road, pass a bridge, and there is a huge fountain on this small lake. The homes in some neighborhoods look like mansions. I drive around and wonder if I should apply to be the maid, a butler, or something. You can see where the help lives--a huge house on the side towards the back. Who needs architectural magazines when you can look at these everyday! It just amazes me. Actually, everything about the city amazes me. Who needs to go to Mars? Yet, these two kids from the suburbs wrote this music because they were bored! Ha! I'd like to be that bored! PS. I don't live in The Woodlands, as nice as this place is.
