Obamacare was once called “The Job-Killing Health Care Law.” But the latest jobs report suggests that the broader economy—and the health care sector, specifically—is adding jobs at a healthy rate. Since the Affordable Care Act was signed into law in March 2010, the health care industry has gained nearly 1 million jobs—982,300, to be more precise—according to Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates released on Friday. http://www.forbes.com/sites/dandiamond/2014/06/06/since-obamacare-passed-50-months-ago-healthcare-has-gained-almost-1-million-jobs/

Answer:
And how many of those jobs are well-paid doctors and nurses vs. how many are low-paid, part-time key-punch operators to input the MOUNTAINS of your personal data so Uncle Sugar can shove his snoot farther up you backside? And what's the net salary GAIN over the jobs lost elsewhere in the economy? In what way do those added jobs actually contribute to actually improving or enhancing healthcare in the US? And I STILL don't understand how the PPACA has made HEALTHCARE more affordable? My doctor charges even MORE for an office visit now than a year ago. And my health insurance is now so expensive that I can't afford to go see him anyhow. After I pay the monthly premium I don't have enough left over to meet the now ungodly expensive co-pay. GOD help me if I need hospitalization!

And how many jobs have been lost elsewhere in the economy? The U6 unemployment rate is still in the double digits. (U6, that is the rate that also counts those who are employed in part-time jobs who want full-time and those that have given up looking for jobs.) Additionally, a very substantive majority of the jobs that have been created in the Obama "recovery" are PART-time jobs. http://www.ijreview.com/2013/10/86908-obama-recovery-88-jobs-created-2013-part-time/ http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/21/part-time-job-creation_n_3788365.html You know? I remember when you leftists disparaged George W. Bush's recovery claiming that too large a percentage of the jobs created were part-time. Obama's recovery is setting records for such high percentages of part-time jobs and now you trumpet what a wonderful job he is doing on the economy. Please excuse me if I am not impressed.

Governments don't create jobs. For every job created by government spending, the taxation needed to fund it kills a least one job in the private sector. (Unless you just borrow the money of course, to create the illusion of prosperity. Every single job created in that way will strangle a job in the future as servicing the debt becomes a greater strain.) All you're doing is funneling money into wall street and away from main street.

Thanks for the information.. It still won't matter to some.. I'd assume these are permanent jobs since people will always be getting sick.. It's like an automobile mechanic can depend on cars needing repair..

"Booming growth in the heath care industry shouldn’t come as a surprise. The health care sector was gaining about 25,000 jobs per month in the years before the Affordable Care Act. " If this is correct in the 4 years since Obama care was signed into law there should have been 1.2 million jobs created. It would seem that the job gains rate in the healthcare sector slowed after the ACA was signed into law.

Yeh right...Obama created private sector jobs. What a joke. He created another branch of government that will just squander tax money, like everything else they do. Were all guinea pigs now facing a government involvement in healthcare. Doesn't seem smart. Over the top creative. He gets an A for creativity and arrogance.
