What Is Power Pop?

Do you like British pop rock/power pop group The Outfield?

  • If so, what is your favorite song of theirs?

  • Answer:

    Despite being from Manchester, the Outfield don't really have much of a following around here. The song "Your Love" is on the pub jukebox but it doesn't get played very often. Personally I can take it or leave it. I don't think I've heard any of their other songs.

Yeah I really liked that band back in the 80's. Hated the snare sound they used on some of their recordings. A bit too bright for my taste but nevertheless some great sounding tunes. Drums were a bit simplistic but the guitar sound was great. Reminded me alot of the sound rush would get on some albums like Hold your fire. The bass was mixed low in the mix. That always annoyed me about this band. They came out on the scene at the height of mullet mania. I was always partial to that tune...Say It Isn't So
