Pro-life nurse sues family planning clinic for not hiring her for a job she refuses to do. Does she have a case? Why/Why not?

She needs her arse smacked badly for being a half wit and wasting sane peoples time .....The legal profession should be forced to pay millions for participating and instigating such a pathetic farce.... The Pro life Nurse would be more suited to being in a mental institution.... but not as a nurse....more an inmate....

I think that I am going to shock you here, Wynper, but I think that this case should be laughed out of court and the nurse and her lawyers should be held responsible for the court costs of the clinic. If she is unwilling to do the job required by this employer, then she should not have applied for it in the first place, let alone filed a law suit against them for not hiring her.

She should be given the job because of discrimination by liberals. They should have to fill a quota equal to the population with her position. Which would be about 60% of the abortion clinics should be run by people who are anti-abortion. You may object, but that idea is equivalent to many of the radical arguments of liberals.

No case. If you're pro life, it's the height of stupidity to apply for a job that requires you to do the opposite. If you're anti-contraception, you're a moron. It seems that Hellwege is both.

Groundless, in my opinion. There is no violation of any anti-discriminatory laws. In general, businesses can hire and fire for any reason they wish, so long as it isn't against the current laws dealing with discrimination. I predict this will go exactly...nowhere.

Sounds like she's playing the frivolous lawsuit game. She should be laughed out of court but, sadly, it's usually the juries that are the stupid ones in cases like that. (Or the laws are so poorly written that the jury may have no choice but to rule a certain way unless they want to go for "nullification".) I am confused by one thing though . . . a nurse can prescribe medications in Florida?! In my part of the world one has to be at least a nurse-practitioner to do that . . .

Another frivolous lawsuit gets dismissed. What other outcome could there be?
