How to bargain from the shop keepers' point of view?

Should I use this character's point of view?

  • My fantasy book is written in third person limited; I only follow the perspective of my three main characters. But about 2/3 through the book, an important supporting character is revealed. He is an outsider who becomes very important to the plot. The Outsider doesn't know anything about the world he ended up in, so as he learns about the world, the readers themselves also learn more about the world. It's not 100% necessary to use The Outsider's point of view, but I may have to tell rather than show a few parts. For example, someone would have to tell a main character what The Outsider did when none of the main character's were present. But if I use his point of view, I could directly show what The Outsider did and what his thought process was. The Outsider could provide an interesting perspective to the story, which is good. But if I don't use his point of view, I would have to use more subtlety and keep parts of the story shrouded in mystery, which can also be good. Is it weird to follow only three characters' points of view for the first two-thirds of a book, only for a fourth point of view to appear after the last third?
