How to write a short story? (For English class)

• Am I the only one on here who posts serious questions? lol I have to write a 3 page short story for my English class. Apparently 3 pages is short, but whatever, that's beside the point. I hate writing stories... I have had to do it plenty of times before. But this time, he did not tell us what we have to do. The story is completely up to us. We can write about whatever we want. And I don't know what I want to write about. I spent 2 class periods thinking of something... nothing. I can never come up with anything good for stories. I can be creative with almost anything else, but when it comes to writing stories, I have no ideas. I have no idea what to do. Can anybody help?
