No, they did not lie about 2014 being the warmest year on record for the globe. The probabilities are great that man had something to do with it but the probabilities are also great that nothing much will be done about it until it is too late to do anything.

There is a heating phenominon which earth is experiencing, but this seems to be solar system wide: http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2003/07aug_southpole/ Mars is also heating up, and unless the govt is hiding something from us, to my knowledge there isin't any human activity goin on there.
