I need a job in Czech.

I need a job and currently in college... I'm on a installment plan but I can't find a job..

  • I was employed back as of November 2014 but I quit that job because I wanted to join the military.. Well.. When things didn't work out I had to find new employment in such a short period of time.. At my last job I only worked there for like 2 months.. It was my third job in the last 2 years I've been working.. Anyways I've been looking for a job for a month now and I can't find one... IDK if it is because (no offense) there are a lot of immigrants that come here to work the minimum wage jobs or if there are to many 30 something year old taking these jobs.. I mean.. If you are older and on welfare and stuff I guess it is easier to get hired because the employer gets a tax break (I assume.. Because employers always ask if you are on some sort of welfare program).. Anyways I need help with a resume. I'm going rewrite my resume, cover letter, and a thank you letter. Maybe even a video... I was wondering how I should put that I had 3 jobs in 2 years and my last job I only worked there for 2 months because I wanted to join the military.. I particularly need help with wording the military things.. Also what should I put on the job application why I left that job? Note: I may ask this multiple times or in broken up form to get a better perspective.. I applied to my old job again but I left off with good terms with my manager but not so much with my co-workers.. They may have been BS'ing me and made up gossip about me(because some of those 30 something years olds didn't really like me..) so i'm not sure if I will get that job again... Also I did check my college office.. It's all on a website called "College Central" even then I can't find a minimum wage jobs because I don't have a degree or what not..

  • Answer:

Check to see if your college has a job placement office as many businesses will hire students like you. Good luck!

You should look to your college for assistance. There may be staff that can assist you with writing or editing your current resume. Also, as Elizabeth stated, look for any job placement opportunities. You have an advantage to a degree, because you have an educational institution that you can seek for any information regarding career and job opportunities.

Network. Look up old friends or talk to members of your family to locate possible jobs. When we moved to Houston, we didn't have jobs, but through networking, now we all have good jobs. It is very difficult to just hit the streets and burn the pavement walking around trying to find anything. We tried that. It's who you know that matters more. Not even with all the degrees or experience will that help you. There are already many unemployed people with master and doctorate degrees trying to find the kinds of jobs you talk about. You are competing with them! Good luck and make plans to talk to people you know.

I'm assuming that many employers like Target or Walmart just give you a pity interview because they never take down the open positions (or maybe to keep the managers occupied so it looks like they're doing something).. Yet they still give you an interview.. Despite that you look at the store you'd see no one was even shopping there.. Yet there would be like 20 positions available.

I see a lot about "I need a job... yadda yadda" but I don't see anything in what you wrote as to marketable skills or reasons to hire you. I think you should focus on that for a while. If for instance you have or can develop some basic web design skills, you can start printing up some fliers and knocking on some doors to build basic websites for low end businesses and churches. Pizza shops, daycare places, churches, stuff like that. You start low, and inexpensively (like $50 for your services) to build a reputation and a portfolio. If you make your customers happy and leave them some business cards, they'll pass them on to friends.

Why did you quit your job before you knew you could be accepted into the military? There would have been plenty of time to resign once you knew you were in. As for the co-workers I doubt they said anything that was untrue. If your postings on here are any evidence I would say they talked about how you whined more than you worked. The employers ask about welfare because they get money off their taxes if they hire someone that gets help. On your resume you need to be totally honest about your jobs. What "military things" is there to include since you aren't in the military?
