It is ensuring that federal firearms laws are followed to the letter at this convention and there can be no accusations of background checks being ignored. Attendees are free to carry their fully-operation firearms with them, as long as they are complying with federal, state, and local laws. The only place they can't carry is the bridgestone arena, where a concert is happening. That is because the bridgestone area doesn't allow guns.
