Good and bad things about science and technology?

Is math and science overvalued? It seems that the market is geared to making cool technology and not enough on culture and other things.

  • You can't force every one to get high school math and science. Some people are ment to go in other directions.

Just because many are not good at those subjects does not mean they should not be taught. I wasn't a super student in either but I do use some of both on a daily basis.

Science is how our society advances and math is the language of science. Culture is what people do and can't be taught, it just naturally happens. Art is a hobby and less an actual job, same with writing. Anybody can write, and many do. We just don't prefer written entertainment like we used to. Not everyone has the intellect for a STEM career, which is why those jobs are so highly paid. If more people could and would do them their value would naturally go down.
