Can I get a flip key for my 1997 honda civic?

The battery of a 1997 Honda Civic is dead and the hood latch is broken how can I get the hood open?

  Just had this happen to me... hope you don't mind unbolting stuff. I had my car parked for a year, and the latch had rust shut. The hood release cable wasn't able to budge the release at all. Unbolt the bottom bolts and screws of the front fender. That should leave the top part under the hood still attached. You should be able to pry the bottom part of the fender enough to work on the latch from under the car. Pull off the bottom part of the fender as much as you can. Go underneath the car and locate the hood latch. Take a 10mm wrench and remove the three bolts holding the latch in place. Remove the hood release cable from the latch. The hood should open now.
