I'm Chinese and currently applying JD program in US, can i expect to work at google/apple as a lawyer? What's the criteria?

Answer:
Not likely after your first year. You would need some patent law background first, and you normally can't take that in your first year of law school. First year is all required courses.

What Apple needs in the legal department are probably patent lawyers in with an engineering background so as to understand and write up the patents.,most of this is done outhouse, but probably some is followed in house.
