How to add WooCommerce Custom Product Fields?

What is the best e-Commerce script?

  • Hi, I need to setup an electronic commerce website that is going to sell quite specialised products, that means that I will need to be able to customise the fields for the products I'm going to sell to a complex degree, at least letting me include a field to upload files. I know there are several known out there: Magento, PrestaShop, WooCommerce (for Wordpress), OpenCart, OsCommerce. But I really don't know which one to go. I need your opinion on: Which one is the most secure or that receives continuous patches (the devs are at least aware of the issues and work on them, not like WHMCS last year) The most popular and thus the one that receives more customisations, plugins, themes, etc. The one that let's me add several custom fields to products I'm offering. The one that generates better reports of all kind. (best statistics / reporting system) The one thats easier to use and more user-friendly, but complex still; because as far as I know Magento would be the most complex, but I don't find the admin interface friendly at all.     Magento is probably your best bet based on your list.  Go for the Community Edition (the Enterprise Edition is quite costly).Magento is one of the biggest and most used open source platforms out there.  They had a little security issue recently but they patched it quickly (developers are on top of things).  It is also very customizable and has tons of reporting.Daniel | http://apollodatasolutions.com
