I'm pursuing my MCA in my 2nd year and I will be passing out in the year 2016. How can I get a job in an MNC?

Thanks for the A2A. I am really sorry I cant be much help here. As far as I know MCA placements, like BE/Btech are held on campus and off campus, both! Doing an internship will definitely add up to your resume. I have few contacts who completed their MCA this year and are placed in very good companies. MCA is often the second option for most of the companies compared with engineering graduates. It could be difficult to get a job in MNC unless you have a good track record during your academics. But there is always a chance to get job in good IT companies. I don't think you need to worry much about the status in 2016 as the government is pushing IT very well. If you have the tech skills to sell yourself in the IT industry, it will certainly help. You have to keep yourself updated about the latest technologies and aim to become a developer. If you have a chance to be a part of start up, you should take it up.

I am not sure about this, but little suggestion... Register in all job portals. Take tests like AMCAT, Elithmus etc Attend all Off campus drives and job fairs.. Edit:Registered in IBM careers page, applied for various jobs and got an interview call.

Getting Job and Getting Right Job is two different thing. If your intention is to get placed in MNC or equivalent you have to just focus on Aptitude, Communication, good knowledge on core subjects and most important throughout 60% in your academic. Because. once you complete your 5th Semester (i am assuming that you are undergoing 3 Year Degree Course) you will be eligible for Placement Examination. if you will start working on Aptitude/Communication on 2nd or 3rd Semester, you can easily crack Aptitude Round. But if you have any specific role in your mind like, i wanted to be a Developer or DBA or something else, then situation is going to bit difficult and different as well. In Placement, you will never know, what would be your role/profile in Organization.  You may have to accept any Role like Tech Support Role or Administration or Management Work or Development. If you want to get a role of your interest, you have to struggle a lot. Because, you have to search Job (either by reference/Job Portal) where requirement  is actually matches with your skill set.  In this case, if you have done any certification, that will really help you. if you want to get a Job just for the sake of bread and butter, start working on Aptitude and Communication so that you could get placed in college.
