Focus mainly on electricity and magnetism (put more emphasis electrostatics), and mechanics. Go through modern physics a bit, if possible, as mostly easy questions come from that. Edit: Fluid mechanics is not that important, but its best to at least go through the easy stuff (like viscosity) if you are short of time. KVPY stand for kishor vagyanik prothsahan yojna its is an exam conducted on the order of central government from the past 7–8 years in order to enhance innovative skill in student ,who are in there high school ,the scheme was started on the name of our honorable late prime minster RAJEEV GANDHI ,student who get clear in this exam are awarded a ransom scholarship and also this mark are taken into account in selection in various National Institute .The exam is conducted throughout India at one specific day ,student can fill the form online .PS : It good to give the test for student who clear SSC and can have the idea of were they stand in there batch competence .

Besides try to strenghthen the topics you love the most. There are as such no specific books recommended for KVPY. You can prepare from what you are studying for JEE, and solving previous year papers of KVPY. Good Luck..!!

just clear your concepts in which you think you are weak and try to solve as many questions as you can and use very basic concepts for that. this will be really helpful. also get in touch with the students who has a great skill in tackling complicated questions.
