How to locate a package by its tracking number?

FedEx: How can I get my package without a tracking number?

  • Got a Fedex notice showing my name and part of my address, it also shows "require buzzer number"&"phone number given is incorrect" and asks me to pick it up in a near station. No tracking number on it, when I call fedex they say I have to know the tracking number to get the package, I tried  to contact with the sender but no reply yet. The notice says my package will be held for only 5 days, does it mean I would loose my package? It shall be a mistake by the courier, what can I do?

    You need to get the tracking number. Unfortunately without a ref or tracking number Fedex cannot do anything. Good luck :)

The courier is always supposed to put the trackig number on the doortag. So call FedEx customer service and demand action. They do have a system where they can search for packages using your address information or shipper details, but I've noticed it depends on the service agent if they care enough to look for it. Most common is for them to ask you to contact shipper, but in this case when it's FedEx mistake, demand better service from them. These cases happen quite often, so they are prepared to handle then.

Hopefully by now you have your package. It is not necessary for the courier to provide you with the tracking number as the door tag has a number on it that is typically linked to your package by the courier- some neglect to scan the doortag and that can create the problem you experienced. Regardless, any fedex service agent can use your address to find the package. (NOTE: For true customer service when calling 1800GOFEDEX it is advisable to ask to be connected to the service center at the station from which the package was sent onroad. The call center is staffed by persons with varying degrees of training and expertise, often not entirely helpful. Also, please post the resolution to this situation. I'm very curious how it turns out for you.)

Maybe you can get the parcel, but when the parcel not arrived at your address, so you dont know how to find it, so you have to get a tracking number of the parcel.
