Where should I work as a computer science major?

Cryptocurrencies: What technical aspects of crypto currency can I work on as my major project as an undergraduate in computer science?

• I want to start a startup after my education. I find crypto currency esp. bit-coin to be disruptive and the future of commerce ( pl let me know any other disruptive markets , I don't want to miss any opportunities). I want to do my major project on any idea which I'd later mend and extrapolate as a full working product. Can u suggest few ideas in cryptocurrency or any other domain which has disruptively bright future, the next big thing?

  Personally I don't think Bitcoin has too bright a future ahead. Too many factors which will keep it a niche protocol. For any cryptocurrency or protocol to make it in the future it will need to be credit based rather than commodity money based. That might be an interesting field to look into.
