How to get a computer job in Canada?

Is it easy to get a job in Canada for an international student doing master's in computer science at the University of Windsor?

  • There are no entry level jobs. All the jobs listed on the sites require minimum 3 years of experience. I have two years of teaching experience.

  • Answer:

Canada is the second largest country in the world with a small population.  The unemployment rate varies wildly depending on where you are in Canada.  There is not really, from the ground level, a Canadian Job market.  There are about a dozen provincial / area job markets (e.g. the North Western Ontario area is closer to the Manitoba market than the Toronto market). Different markets have different needs.  If you are a trades person or involved in construction or the oil industry, the market is very good in Alberta and Saskatchewan and poorer in the Maritimes.  What kind of job are you looking for?  Where do you live (or want to live) in Canada?  Without these answers, you cannot get a good answer.

Are you willing to work from the ground up?Will you show up on time and ready to work (thats doesnt happen as often as you might think)? Some will find it easy others not much.there are lots of reasons why to both. Fill in some of the blanks.
