Conspiracy Theories: Could the Malaysian MH17 jet crash be an Israel-Singapore plot?
-
1. Russia has traditionally backed Palestine and criticized Israeli actions. 2. Israel is the biggest trainer of Singapore armed forces: http://www.haaretz.com/a-deep-dark-secret-love-affair-1.128671 3. Singapore is the most advanced, militarized nation in South-East Asia. It's split from Malaysia in 1965 was preceded by major race riots (wiki:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore_in_Malaysia). The plane crash is arguably beneficial to Israel (lesser support to Palestinians from Russian Intelligence who are under worldwide spotlight), and Singapore (dent Malaysia's image further). So, is it possible that the Israel-Singapore duo bribed separatists in Eastern Ukraine to shoot down the Malaysian plane?

Answer:
No. It was probably a trigger happy seperatist thinking he had a Ukrainian plane to shoot at. Now someone realized they made one huge mother fucking mistake taking down a commercial airliner. People are scared and are attempting to escape the ramifications of their stupidly.

No. It is clearly a ludicrous idea from Singapore's point of view. There are no benefits at all for Singapore to do anything like this. None whatsoever. Singapore has nothing to gain from denting Malaysia's image. In fact, tourism in Singapore is not doing as well as it should now because of the drop in the number of Chinese visitors to the region after the MH370 incident. Tourists to Singapore very often visit Malaysia and Thailand as part of the same travel package. The last thing we need is for tourists from Europe to be scared of flying to Southeast Asia. Furthermore, relations between Singapore and Malaysia are very close at every levels (economic, cultural, financial, familial, etc). Many Singaporeans (myself included) have friends, family and relatives living in Malaysia and vice versa. Many Singaporeans also live in Malaysia and vice versa. If Malaysia's economy does well, so does Singapore's.

Obviously not. I'm from Malaysia and there's no way Singapore would do something like that. Those who shot down the plane has been reported to have mistaken it as a military plane although its not confirmed yet. And the Israel and Palestine issue has got nothing to do with MH17. The pieces of the "story is irrelevent with MH17. We find this question really offensive and ridiculous. Malaysia and Singapore may be odd with each other at times but not to the extent of killing innocents, entire families in such a cruel and inhumane manner. It's better to hear from the official news update on the tragedy instead of making up conclusions like that.

Even for a conspiracy theorist, you're insane. Truly a candidate for the tinfoil hat, straitjacket and rubber room. Your question may even be worthy of a defamation suit in Singapore courts. I wonder if Quora is prepared for that? Anyhow, the answer is: No, this is not possible. Singapore has no need to and cannot be bothered to "dent" Malaysia's image. Malaysia can do that itself very well without any help from us. Besides, trying to get our penurious Gahmen to spend money on bribes bo gia, lah. Our Million Dollar Men need every penny to make sure we got enough for citizens' CPF and somebody's wife doesn't run a certain sovereign wealth fund into and under Marina Bay, mah. After China "investments" and Bank of America fiasco, we bo gao lui for hanky panky liao! Only got peanuts left, which is why we got monkeys running the show... Adoi! Translation: CPF - Central Provident Fund (Singapore's "Social Security" although it's not social and it's not secure...not any more, anyway) gahmen - Local pronunciation for "government" (duh!) bo gia - No go mah, lah, liao - Flavoring particles bo gao lui - Not enough money adoi - An exclamation usually used in exasperation

That seems to me a very weak and very convoluted justification. Every of you concede the willingness to carry out such an atrocity for such a weak effect, which I do not, the Israeli Defence Forces are usually much more direct.

I don't know about Israel, but you are giving Singapore too much credit. There's no way the SAF is competent enough to have played any part in such a plot without completely bungling things.

No, the risks would be impossibly high.

No. That's ridiculous. The worse case of tenuous link making I think I've ever read. There is not a single benefit to Singapore outlined here and the Israeli one is pathetic. When has Israel ever cared who is arming the Palestinians? It's not like they're driving round in tanks. Singapore couldn't intrigue itself out of a paper bag and there is no explanation given as to why they would murder 298 innocent individuals to just 'embarrass' Malaysia. Pathetic.

Well until we have some facts anything is possible. By far the most likely explanation is that Putin supplied heavy weapons to separatists who ended up doing something stupid. To shoot down a high flying airliner you need a sophisticated missile. This will damage air travel to the Ukraine, further destabilising it. All aircraft ping a message saying they aren't a threat so they aren't a target. Aircraft routinely fly over Afghanistan. It could easily be a cock-up. The Ukrainian terrorists are about ego and guns, like any armed civilians. Their dreams of guns and glory end up in killing innocents, like all terrorists. Although Putin has bankrolled and encouraged them, I suspect he will deal with the perpetrators ruthlessly. Israel doesn't have to be involved in World plots. It is happy to be a world pariah that targets civilians and has American backing for this.

False flag operations 101 It is more than possible. Physically / logistically it is completely possible. Missiles fired, in and of themselves, don't find their target, any more accurately, or not, dependent on who fires them. The motive you outline to me seems credible, so why not? A point many people overlook which strikes me, is, simply the fact that for any govt / agency considering to carry out such an attack, the degree to which it's authors can count on the truth that it was carried out by them, being dismissed out of hand as ludicrous, is in fact, a prerequisite to carrying out such an operation in the first place. Logically, if circumstantial evidence of a particular party as having carried out an attack is anticipated to be high, then it wouldn't be an effective false flag operation. That's my two cents-worth. I'm not and never have been involved in anything even vaguely related to that world, thank god, and never will be. But I think this question stands a look at it logically with some rigour. False flags are documented as being used by many nations thro the C20, including by the US as a way to begin the Vietnam war. These are documented and admitted cases. Why would they cease to occur now? They work, at least from the point of view of the examples which governments feel comfortable to admit now with a safe margin of time since their implimentation. So ultimately, my guess is it could have been precisely as you say. The problem is that it similarly could have been by any other number of agencies, for reasons just as many and more. Outside of hypotheses however, what matters is, who in fact did carry it out, what farnborough are able to piece together from the black boxes, and with the rest of the available evidence, what can be proven beyond all reasonable doubt. Some things which occur to me though, within the area local to the incident, for anyone other than the separatists to be cruising around / setting up a buk launcher seems close to implausible, not impossible, but one would guess that a ukraine army vehicle driven by ukraine military would be 'made' very quickly, so that seems to point to either russian or separatist. What remains to be seen is how russia treats the findings of the investigators, how they react vis a vis their relation with the separatists, if they carried it out in part error, or some particular faction of the separatists did. Based on the audio purported to be intercepts of the separatists communicating with each other to the effect that, 'hey, it's civilian', it certainly sounds like the separatists carried it out. Playing devils advocate though, does anyone believe that it would be beyond the means of parties with the means and the motive, to fabricate such audio? I don't know, lets hope for the sake of the people of the flight and their relatives that some irrefutable evidence does become clear. Whatever happens, god bless every single person on flight MH17, and I pray they are looking down from paradise in heaven completely untroubled and looking forward to being reunited with their loved ones one day to tell them yeah, you got it right, but it doesn't matter now, I love you, welcome, we've got a lot to catch up on other than that sad day.
