What is the international employment law?

How can I find out what the employment outcome statistics are for the Massachusetts School of Law?

  • The Massachussetts school of law has the lowest bar passage rates in the state, but since they aren't ABA-approved, they don't have to report employment outcomes to the ABA. https://qr.ae/Yd2tV Are their employment outcomes statistics available anywhere else? Is not wanting to have to report poor employment outcomes  part of the reason the dean of the Massachusetts school of law criticizes ABA regulations?

  • Answer:

Full disclosure: I don't mean to sound like I've got an axe to grind.  I am very happy that I went to law school, despite the rough economy and overcrowded field. That said, don't believe any school's employment statistics.  They are all bogus.  They contain no information.  You will know less about employment statistics for having read them. First of all, most schools rely on self reporting, so it's a skewed sample to begin with.  Second, the schools massage their numbers with "post-graduation internships," questionable definitions of "employed in the legal field," and other nonsense like that. Sometime around 2011 or 2012, my law school, Boston College, was still publishing its employment statistics from 2006.  If publishing old statistics like that sounds reasonable, then I've got some stock in Lehman Brothers to sell you.
