Cities Where 20 and 30's Year Olds Can Actually Afford to Own a Home?

• Where are the small to medium sized cities where people in there late 20's and early 30's making 100K to 150K can reasonably afford to own a single family home? I've lived near major cities on both coasts and single family homes anywhere near desirable areas in and outside cities like Boston, LA, SF easy start at a 1 million plus even in nearby suburbs. Wondering if there are up and coming places where the younger generation can afford to own a real house (not a condo) with a salary over $100K?
